Team

The Team page is where you manage bot users — automated accounts that AI agents use to interact with your Nico board.
Support for inviting coaches, mentors, and other human team members is coming soon.

Bot users

Bot users are special accounts designed for automated access. They allow AI agents to add proposed jobs, search your applications, and add notes on your behalf via the CLI, MCP server, or Claude Code skill.

Adding a bot user

  1. Go to Team in the sidebar
  2. Click Add Bot
  3. Give the bot a name (e.g., “Job Search Agent”)

Creating an API key for a bot

Once a bot user exists, you need to give it an API key so it can authenticate:
  1. Select the bot user on the Team page
  2. Click Create API Key
  3. Set a name, expiration date, and scopes
  4. Copy the key immediately — it won’t be shown again
See API Keys for more details on key management.

What bots can do

Bot users can:
  • Search and list your job applications
  • Parse job posting URLs
  • Create proposed job applications (which you review and approve)
  • Add notes to existing applications
Bots cannot change application statuses, delete applications, or modify account settings — they can only propose and annotate.
