Adding Your First Job
There are two ways to add jobs to Nico: manually or through AI agents.
Add a job manually
- Click New Application on the dashboard or applications page
- Paste the job posting URL and click Next — Nico reads the page and prefills the form with the job title, company, location, work mode, salary, and more
- Review the prefilled details and update anything that needs correcting
- Click Save
Pasting the URL is the fastest way to add a job. Nico supports hundreds of job boards and company career pages. If parsing doesn’t find all the details, you can always fill in the remaining fields yourself.
Your application starts in Draft status, meaning you’re preparing to apply.
Receive job proposals from AI
If you’ve connected an AI agent (via MCP, CLI, or Claude Code skill), it can add jobs for you:
- The agent searches job boards and finds matching positions
- It adds them to your board as Proposed applications
- You review the proposals on your kanban board
- For each proposal, you can:
- Move to Draft — Start preparing your application
- Apply directly — Mark it as applied immediately
- Withdraw — Dismiss the proposal
Proposed jobs include parsed details from the job posting — title, company, location, work mode, and salary — so you can quickly evaluate whether to pursue them.
