# Companies

Companies in Nico group your job applications by employer, giving you a clear view of your history with each organization.

## Company details

Each company record includes:

| Field              | Description                                   |
| ------------------ | --------------------------------------------- |
| **Name**           | The company name (unique per account)         |
| **Website**        | Company homepage URL                          |
| **Careers URL**    | Link to the company's careers or jobs page    |
| **LinkedIn URL**   | Link to the company's LinkedIn profile        |
| **Employee count** | Approximate number of employees               |
| **Industry**       | Selected from a predefined list of industries |

## Viewing companies

The Companies page shows all companies you have applications with, along with:

* Number of active applications
* Number of total applications
* Most recent application status

Click a company to see all your applications there.

## Creating companies

Companies are created automatically when you add a job application with a new company name. AI agents also create companies when proposing jobs.

You can edit a company's details at any time to add its website, LinkedIn, careers page, employee count, and industry.

## Contacts

You can track contacts at each company — recruiters, hiring managers, or anyone you've interacted with during the application process.

## Company notes

Add notes to a company to track general information that applies across all your applications there — such as company culture observations, interview tips, or research notes.
